FD Productions is an independent story-development studio creating original television, film, animation, and fiction. Our work explores the systems people build, the places they inhabit, and the consequences that emerge when ordinary decisions are followed to their logical extremes.
We are development-first. Before anything else, we build the world, the characters, and the structure — and we shape each project around the idea at its center rather than forcing it to fit a format. The result is intended to be ambitious, atmospheric, and a little unsettling.

FD Productions is the narrative-development division of FieldDesk. Where the parent practice works in design, Productions carries the same sensibility into story — a belief that structure is never neutral, and that the way something is built shapes what it does to the people who encounter it.
That design lineage is a point of view, not a constraint. It shows up as an interest in systems, in built environments, and in the uncomfortable spaces between intention and outcome.
An independent approach
We develop material independently — writing, world-building, and preparing pitch materials in-house — and we bring projects to collaborators and partners when the work is ready to speak for itself.
